WOW! I know--every Mom can't believe their child is another year older and not the baby they were almost yesterday. I am no exception. My oldest baby went to 2nd grade today! (Mia & Levi start preschool Monday.) He sat by the back door with his backpack on an entire hour before school. He loves school, and was so excited to go back! We picked him up, and he's pretty sure they won't have homework this year. LOL. Yaknow, since they didn't have it the first day. His favorite is P.E. - he's excited they'll be bowling in P.E.--I don't remember that in grade school?!? But anyway, here's the kid...
They all found the legendary "school mascot"- who comes out every year-a toad who magically disappears a few days after school starts. I wonder why.
His paperwork for the day. Though blurred out for privacy, his phone number and birthday were filled out correctly of course. And I love the self-portrait he colored on the first day of school-his outfit is complete to the detail of the yellow "B.A. Tigers" colored on the shirt, jeans and matching shoes. I love that kid.
