summertime

Summer is here! The kids are out of school and it's gettin' HOT! Konnor's last day of school was Thursday. Friday we slept in, then went to Josh's Sno Shack for sno cones - the summer staple - to celebrate. True to their personalities, flavors chosen were - spiderman (Levi), purple passion (Mia) and boomer sooner (Konnor).

We had fun today with friends -- summer fun on the slip n' slide.

Mia graduated from PreK last week. She won the "Most Encouraging" Award for helping her friends feel included.
Here is an example of Proverbs being lived out with Levi-teach a child in the way he should go. Here is what my 2 year old sang over and over today in the car:



In this case, the way he should go is the way of 80s hair rockers Bon Jovi. If you're not familiar with that 80s smash hit - which Levi calls the "whoa-ho" song, you can see the original here . I am a child of the 80s.

For some reason (which SCARES me), our Family Ministry dept. @ church has asked for pix of the staff while growing up. I found one and collaged it next to Mimi's:
