the chateau

this last weekend we were blessed by an anonymous friend, to the "love & laughter" gary smalley marriage conference in branson. there were quite a few couples from our church who went, including some of our close friends. the conference was held at the chateau on the lake - table rock lake. the accommodations were gorgeous, and the conference was great. gary smalley and pastor ted cunningham were great speakers and comedian paul harris had us crying, we were laughing so hard.

and birds. i'm not a bird person, and i guess i don't get out much, but i was obsessed with the birds in the lobby...

chandelier...we went with our sweet friends, and had to start off @ lambert's! there was wayyyy too much food eaten that weekend, but it was soooo good. i think we decided letting parents of young children go away without the young children is more dangerous than letting teenagers out without supervision. such a sense of freedom to pack in to a short amount of time. we laughed a LOT (maybe too much) and had a ton of fun, with spouse and friends.
if you're reading this Anonymous Friend, please know how very thankful we are!! the conference and time away was such a blessing to our marriage!
